Tempus fugit!

It’s time to polish up that idea you’ve been mulling over for a presentation at the October 5th SLA-SD Fall Seminar, “Spotlight on the User: Enhancing Value through User-Centric Design and Innovation.” This is an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge, experiences, and unique perspective with a diverse group of information professionals from southern California and Arizona. Please see http://sandiego.sla.org/2012/06/call-for-speakers-sla-sd-2012-fall-seminar/ and submit your proposals no later than August 17th. Thanks!

Congratulations to SLA-SD 2011 Scholarship Recipient and 2012 Student Liaison

A belated but hearty congratulations to Jessica Olson, the recipient of the SLA-SD 2011 Scholarship! Jessica is in her final semester of the MLIS program at San Jose State University and is currently interning in Reference Services at San Diego State University.  She would like to pursue a career in academic or special libraries. And we’re so happy that she has agreed to be our Student Liaison for 2012. What a wonderful way to give back to SLA-SD and jump-start your new career, Jessica!
